Why "ilera"?
Ilera (pronounced ee-leh-rah) is a Yoruba word meaning "health" or "wellness." In Yoruba culture, health is considered one of the greatest blessings — more valuable than wealth.
The name reflects our commitment to supporting those who dedicate their lives to protecting the health of others. When clinicians have better tools, patients get better care.
